Sharon apparently chose to buy the hot dog because the money went for a good cause. The expensive hot dog aside, Sharon took home five complimentary napkins. Juiliano said that he made it $1,501 because we are in Little Rock, and he is “clever like that.”

Anyway, I don’t think it is healthy to eat this hot dog or in general any hot dog… Take care of your healthy diet plans.

According to heraldtribune.com the most expensive place in the country to be a Medicare patient was at a Texas facility, Allegiance Hospital of Midland-Permian Basin, at $30,939 per case.

The measure ranks Medicare spending per patient at a specific hospital, including payments to doctors, and other services three days before the hospital stay and 30 days after. It compares that spending to the median spent nationally, for a rating called the “Efficiency Index.”

Southwest Florida’s numbers are nowhere near the priciest in the country — or even in Florida. Most area hospitals came in slightly above the state average of $19,046 in spending per patient. Lakewood Ranch Medical Center and Manatee Memorial Hospital, both part of Universal Health Services Inc., had the highest costs in the region, while Englewood Community Hospital had the least expensive, nearly matching the national average of $17,884.

Paris, often thought of as the world’s most romantic city, has just been deemed the most expensive city in the world to order a club sandwich.

The Club Sandwich Index ‘average Club Sandwich price’ is the average price of 30 Club Sandwiches as sold in 30 hotels in the city of each country measured. The prices were taken from 10 Five Star, 10 Four Star, and 10 Three Star hotels from each city. In total, 1,000 prices of a club sandwich were measured across 1,000 hotels, in 26 countries. European prices were converted to $USD, exchange rate correct as of April 25, 2012.

But if $33 seems like too much to shell out for lunch, stick to the 10 most popular United States destinations where the most expensive club sandwich can be found in New York City, for an average price of nearly $17.

Within the U.S., it is no surprise that New York City is home to the most expensive club sandwich prices due to the city’s reputation for an expensive cost of living. Although affordable lunch can be found in San Diego, visitors can assume while traveling in the U.S. lunch will set them back around an average of $12 – $14. An interesting regional difference travelers should note is that many restaurants in New Orleans do not serve club sandwiches, but rather the Big Easy favorite, Po’ Boy, which can consist of a variety of seafood or meats and condiments served on French bread.

In London, the top overseas destination for Americans, a club costs an average of $19, making the city ninth on the CSI. The least expensive cities for a club sandwich from all 30 global cities surveyed are New Delhi, India and Mexico City, Mexico, with the average price coming in at just $10.

Zurich is on first place in Top 10 Expensive Cities 2012. Zurich has overtaken Tokyo for the first time in 20 years according to Economist Intelligence Unit‘s latest Worldwide Cost of Living Survey.

Both Japan and Switzerland have seen strong currency movements over the last few years which have made them relatively more expensive. This has become especially true of Switzerland in the last
year, where investors looking for a haven currency outside the beleaguered Eurozone have invested heavily in the Swiss Franc, prompting an unprecedented move by the Swiss government to peg the
Swiss Franc to the Euro to keep the currency competitive, according to the report.

Despite Eurozone weaknesses affecting markets like Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Spain and Italy, evidence is that German and French cities are still relatively expensive with Paris and Frankfurt holding
firm in the ten most expensive.

Local inflation in mature markets always has far less influence on the relative cost of living than the currency movements of the countries in question. This also explains the recent presence of Australian cities like Sydney and Melbourne in the ten most expensive locations as last year saw the Australian dollar pass parity with the US dollar from holding half that value a decade ago.

Research methodology involve more than 50,000 individual prices are collected in each survey and EIU researchers survey a range of stores: supermarkets, midpriced stores and higher priced specialty outlets. These are not recommended retail prices or manufacturers’ costs; they are what the paying customer is charged. Trimaran Adastra, designed by John Shuttleworth, has recently been launched in China for a Hong Kong clients Anto and Elaine Marden.

“Adastra” is the result of more than 5 years of design and discussion with the owners, to build a yacht that meets the needs of a very experienced ocean voyaging couple and their family, and to provide the level of comfort and style that would be expected in a yacht of this class and size.

Adastra’s 16 metre beam creates a spacious saloon area on the main deck which offers superb views through a panoramic window and accommodates a lounge area, dining table, and navigation station. A forward facing door through the saloon window gives easy access to a large sunbed on the foredeck. The aft deck has a sofa and bar area to port and a dining area to starboard, further aft of this there is space for a 4.9 metre tender and directly below is a garage which can store a 3.1 metre tender. The garage door has been designed to fold out and create a large dive platform. Extra space has been created below deck by slightly flaring the central hull just above the waterline. This area has been split into two sections with a full-width master cabin located aft with access from the deck saloon, and two further guest cabins, accommodation for the crew, and the galley located forward of the engine compartment. Adastra offers comfortable accommodation for nine guests and up to six crew members. The main helm station, which has seating for two, is positioned in a raised pilot house situated between the aft deck and the saloon area and forms part of the cross beam structure.

The anchoring system is unique with 3 anchors all driven by carbon fibre drum winches run by hydraulics. The primary anchor is a custom 130kg Bruce style anchor that deploys out of the starboard wing. The second anchor is 80kg and deploys out of the bow with a carbon fibre arm. The third anchor is 60kg which deploys out of the port wing and will be used as a stern anchor.
