Azimut Magellano 43 HT at Düsseldorf Boot 2013 Exhibition

At the Boot 2013 exhibition in Düsseldorf (an extremely important trade fair in one of the largest exhibition areas in Europe), Azimut Yachts and Atlantis present three new yachts for the season to the North European public: Azimut 54, and the award-winning Magellano 43 HT and Atlantis 34.

AZIMUT MAGELLANO 43 HT

AZIMUT Magellano 43 is a new model for the upcoming boating season. Its 13 metres offer all the advantages of Magellano collection craft: smooth sailing in any sea conditions and excellent autonomy. It can carry up to 1,680 litres of fuel, enough for long trips at 9-10 knots. The new Magellano 43 HT is the first model in the Magellano collection with a hard top rather than a fly top, making it ideal for inland sailing, due also to its lower height and folding mast, which allow it to sail under most fixed bridges on rivers and canals.
The four windows on the hard top, two of which can be opened, make open air sailing a real pleasure. The dual mode hull, with its round-lined keel with side runners and a spacious bow section that ends with a vertical prow, reduces pitching making sailing comfortable even in rough conditions, as well as being even more efficient – and therefore consuming less fuel – at low and medium speeds compared to a planning hull. The living area on the Magellano is perfect for socialising, with a spacious entertaining area as well as the owner’s controls. Besides two cabins for owner and guests, both en suite with separate shower, a third cabin can be set up with a single bed or used as storage space.

Dassault Launch Falcon 2000LXS

Falcon 2000LXS launched today by Dassault Falcon will replace Falcon 2000LX in 2014.

The Falcon 2000LXS

With full fuel, the Falcon 2000LXS will have a payload of 2,190 pounds; a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of 42,800 lbs with a balanced field length of 4,675 feet, which is over 1,000 feet better than some aircraft in its category.

The cabin sound level within the Falcon 2000LXS has been lowered by two decibels compared to its predecessor. It will be delivered standard with an entirely new FalconCabin HD+ cabin management system that places more controls and greater convenience into the hands of passengers, making the transition from the office to the aircraft as seamless as possible. The system provides high-definition viewing on monitors up to 22 inches with functions that can be controlled from anywhere in the aircraft via an iPod Touch or iPhone. A dedicated application allows passengers to control video playback, operate optional electronic window shades and adjust the lights, temperature and other cabin parameters to their liking..

At M.80, the Falcon 2000LXS will offer a range of 4,000 nm (standard aircraft, full fuel, 6 pax, NBAA IFR reserves, 85% Boeing Annual Winds). It will climb directly to 41,000 feet in 19 minutes, reach a mid-cruise altitude of 45,000 feet and have a certified ceiling of 47,000 feet. With a typical end-of-flight profile, the Falcon 2000LXS will need just 2,260 feet of runway to land, no longer than that needed for a turboprop aircraft.

The Falcon 2000LXS will be certified in the first half of 2013 with deliveries beginning in 2014.

The “eyebrows” above the front headlamps are just one of many of the lovingly created new details. They give the headlamps a new U-shaped look. The transparent red sun visor above the windscreen takes up this idea and lends the coupé an even more squat road stance. The tail lights can even be opened. The charging socket for the high-voltage battery is found inside the right-hand tail light, whilst the left-hand one has space for a beverage can.

DMC LP900 Aventador upgrade

DMC designed a completely new body kit, made of 100% Carbon Fiber, that enhances road stability.

A unique expressive front fascia features a redesigned spoiler sword and a stunning front-splitter lip, all made of pure carbon fiber. They fit onto the stock-bumper, installation is very swift. The new side skirt diffusers aim to improve the overall aerodynamics as well by bringing road stability. A new rear fascia consists of a lightened carbon fiber diffusor and an added tunnel system: Both items improve down force on the rear axle. It is completed by a rear wing spoiler that supports aerodynamics on the rear axle. All items can be installed without visibly damaging the Aventador since they either exchange for the OEM parts, or conveniently add-on, which guarantees that the car can be brought back to its original state of art, at any time.
