Azimut Magellano 43 HT at Düsseldorf Boot 2013 Exhibition

At the Boot 2013 exhibition in Düsseldorf (an extremely important trade fair in one of the largest exhibition areas in Europe), Azimut Yachts and Atlantis present three new yachts for the season to the North European public: Azimut 54, and the award-winning Magellano 43 HT and Atlantis 34.

AZIMUT MAGELLANO 43 HT

AZIMUT Magellano 43 is a new model for the upcoming boating season. Its 13 metres offer all the advantages of Magellano collection craft: smooth sailing in any sea conditions and excellent autonomy. It can carry up to 1,680 litres of fuel, enough for long trips at 9-10 knots. The new Magellano 43 HT is the first model in the Magellano collection with a hard top rather than a fly top, making it ideal for inland sailing, due also to its lower height and folding mast, which allow it to sail under most fixed bridges on rivers and canals.
The four windows on the hard top, two of which can be opened, make open air sailing a real pleasure. The dual mode hull, with its round-lined keel with side runners and a spacious bow section that ends with a vertical prow, reduces pitching making sailing comfortable even in rough conditions, as well as being even more efficient – and therefore consuming less fuel – at low and medium speeds compared to a planning hull. The living area on the Magellano is perfect for socialising, with a spacious entertaining area as well as the owner’s controls. Besides two cabins for owner and guests, both en suite with separate shower, a third cabin can be set up with a single bed or used as storage space.

Sea Legs from Iguana Yachts travel across unstable land

Sea Legs from Iguana Yachts by Antoine Brugidou is a boat capable of traveling short distances on dry land across unstable land, at a low speed, but without the necessity to drive on roads. In other words a next generation of amphibians…

The Iguana is a seaworthy boat even in rough seas, a fast boat (40 knots) and it is built according to a word-wide patent deposited by IGUANA YACHTS.

In its hybrid version, the Iguana is fitted with a silent, non-polluting electric motor for use on land.
On a practical level, when in the water the tracks are used for protection, avoiding the need for bulky fenders. The 8 passengers carried by the Iguana can climb the beach in total comfort, then simply disembark once on dry land.

When in the water, the undercarriage folds into the hull, forming a cover, which assures a continuity of the hull form. The nautical capabilities of the boat therefore remain unaltered.

For use on land, the arms pivot 90° and pose the tracks on the ground. Traction can be engaged whilst retaining the nautical propulsion until the boat is completely out of the water.
