Cocoa Island by COMO Hotel Boats

Cocoa Island by COMO Hotel Boats

Maldives island is an amazing destination. You should travel in Maldives at least once in your life. Here you can find truly beautiful views and exceptional luxury accommodation. Here in Maldives I found the Cocoa Island by COMO, a Maldives luxury hotel uniquely inspired by dhoni boats.

Cocoa Island by COMO is our Editor’s Choice luxury travel destination for August 2013

This private Maldives island resort features 33 overwater suites allowing you to slip right into the turquoise lagoon to explore an exceptional house reef. Each room has its own private terrace, all the better for slipping into the warm Maldivian sea, right from your room. The view from the wide platform is directly out to the watery expanse and horizon.and the interiors are dominated by whites and blues.

The rates are around $1100 per night (breakfast included).

The eight split-level suites stand out for the generous indoor seating area with a Balinese day-bed, large bathroom and private terrace allowing for easy access to the lagoon’s warm waters. Light floods in, the ‘dhoni’-style boat design—the suite doesn’t float but is rather fixed to the lagoon—making you feel as if it’s just you and the sea.

Dhoni Loft Suites work very well for families because of an expansive downstairs living area and then the master bedroom on a mezzanine level, just beneath the rafters.
