The Angsana Velavaru (or “Turtle Island” in the national language of Maldives) resort is located in a picturesque lagoon in the pristine South Nilandhe Atoll. You can choose from 79 villas on the island and 33 villas circling the lagoon – each offering a panoramic view of the ocean.

All the villas overlook the ocean and offer a sweeping view of miles and miles of cobalt blue water. The InOcean Villas – the first of its kind in the Maldives – are suspended over water, on stilts. The Maldives consists of 1190 islands, grouped into 26 natural atolls scattered over an area of 90,000 sq. km across the equator in a north-south strip 754km long and 118km wide, situated between latitudes 7°6” north and 0°42” south and longitudes 72°32” and 73°46” east.

Dry land consisting of these low-lying islands makes up less than 4% of the country’s territory, with the highest point at approximately 2.5 metres above sea level!

The islands are specks of palm-fringed emerald green surrounded by sparkling white beaches and warm aquamarine waters. The surrounding coral reefs are home to an abundant variety of marine life, providing for hours of wondrous snorkelling and diving, that the Maldives is famous for.
