Marques de Riscal: tilted walls and zigzag windows

Marques de Riscal is a masterpiece work of art created by Frank Gehry. Design, art, gastronomy, wine and the lush landscape all combine to create a memorable experience.

Hotel Marques de Riscal, Spain

In designing this extraordinary edifice, which sits in playful juxtaposition with its natural surroundings, the Canadian-American architect was inspired by the Marqués de Riscal wine bottle. The result is a flamboyant three-storey building adorned with 3,000 square meters of curling silver, gold and pink titanium waves. The eye-catching colors are a playful nod to the wine bottle cap, the distinctive net which covers the bottle and the wine.

Also there are 11 different choices from the “pillow menu” to give you a good and comfortable sleep.
