Kuramathi island – spectacular beaches tapering into an endless sandbank

Kuramathi island (over 1.8km long) offers a naturally Maldivian holiday experience, with unique twists to suit everyone. Even the luxury is present here and the view is amazing, the prices are not very high, I can say affordable for most of us (two adults starting with $292 per night).

Guest villas are scattered around lush gardens, facing secluded areas of long beaches or poised over water. All villas can accommodate a maximum of 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Deluxe Beach Villas, Beach Villas with Jacuzzi and Superior Beach Villas with Jacuzzi can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children.

The Maldives consists of 1190 islands, grouped into 26 natural atolls scattered over an area of 90,000 sq. km across the equator in a north-south strip 754km long and 118km wide, situated between latitudes 7°6” north and 0°42” south and longitudes 72°32” and 73°46” east.

Dry land consisting of these low-lying islands makes up less than 4% of the country’s territory, with the highest point at approximately 2.5 metres above sea level!

The islands are specks of palm-fringed emerald green surrounded by sparkling white beaches and warm aquamarine waters. The surrounding coral reefs are home to an abundant variety of marine life, providing for hours of wondrous snorkelling and diving, that the Maldives is famous for.
