It was only three bottles of Aurum 79 produced from obvious reasons but I have no doubt that all will be sold as it be  unveiled at  Big Boy Toys Exhibition in United Arab Emirates.

Starbucks Coffee at home with the new Verismo

In the week-end I miss the cup of coffee which I pick up it from Starbucks every morning in my way to the office… but now maybe I can make a Starbucks Coffee at home as Starbucks unveiled Verismo System, a new premium single cup machine. The Verismo System is the first at-home single cup solution to deliver perfectly crafted Starbucks Caffé Lattes, espresso, and brewed coffee, consistently and conveniently, all from one machine.

Verismo System combines Starbucks-sourced 100 percent arabica coffee – the same coffee served in Starbucks cafes – with high-pressure technology to ensure Starbucks-quality beverages every time.

The machine comes in an assortment of colors, including silver, black, burgundy, and champagne, and is available in two design options, the 580 base model and the V•585, which offers additional features, including LED display and temperature control, for $199 and $399, respectively. In addition, customers can purchase Starbucks signature Espresso Roast pods, a selection of Brewed coffee pods, including top-sellers from Starbucks Roast Spectrum (Blonde, Medium, and Dark), and real milk pods wherever Verismo machines are sold.

The Verismo System will be available at select high-end specialty retailers and participating Starbucks retail stores in the U.S., Canada, and select international markets starting in early October.

The history of this unusual Cognac is very interesting: after several years traveling the world on a luxury cruise-liner in the on-board shopping mall it was purchased by an experienced South African bar manager. He spotted the bottle while cruising across the Mediterranean and, realizing its importance and rarity, he bought it and sent it from Greece to South Africa for safe-keeping.

The 1.3 liters 100% agave tequila content was created by Tequila Ley .95 and the five-pound platinum bottle was crafted by Mexican artist Fernando Altamirano and for bottle decoration he use 4,000 diamonds, with a grand total of 328 carats.

There are two bottles of “The Diamond Sterling” in the world and one of them was sold in 2006 for $225,000.

Nader Hatami owner and founder of Steveston Pizza Co., set a new standard for expensive food in Vancouver. He add on the menu two extravagant creations: pizza C6 – $450 and pizza C5 – $120.

The $450 expensive pizza features thermidor of lobster and black Alaska cod, with a side of Russian Osetra caviar and $120 pizza features roasted garlic, Icelandic scampi, smoked steelhead and lobster ratatouille.
Interesting is that he already sold one $450 pizza and seven $120 pizza… Rich people in Vancouver…

The most expensive pizza, commercially available, is a thin-crust, wood fire-baked pizza topped with onion puree, white truffle paste, fontina cheese, baby mozzarella, pancetta, cep mushrooms, freshly picked wild mizuna lettuce and garnished with fresh shavings of a rare Italian white truffle, itself worth $2,194 per 1 kg (2 lb 3 oz). You can buy one if you are in London at Gordon Ramsey’s Maze restaurant.
